Get to know Henry
1. If you could instantly become an expert at something, what would it be?
Henry:
“I’m torn on this one because I’d feel a bit like a fraud if I instantly became an expert in something! I’m a believer in the effort vs. reward relationship, and Malcolm Gladwell’s 10,000 hour theory, can you really become an expert without putting in the time and effort? If I had to choose, though, I’d go with Psychology. It’s something that’s incredibly useful in so many aspects of life, and as an expert, there would still be endless opportunities for learning and growth.”
2. What’s one thing about your role at Everon that you think would surprise people?
Henry:
“What often surprises people is the wide range of responsibilities in my role. I’m not specifically focused on solving technical issues; instead, I ensure that everything behind the scenes is running smoothly to create the most efficient environment possible, so our clients receive the best possible service experience. My work spans from resource allocation and career development to strategic planning, incident response, and automating internal processes. There are many moving parts, and keeping them well-monitored, maintained, and continually improved is crucial to ensuring our clients have the best experience with Everon. Proactive, big-picture thinking is essential, while reactively, calm decision-making and adaptability are key skills to navigate any challenges that arise.”
3. If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Henry:
“I love food and variety so if I had to choose it would be a Thali from Southern India. A spread of rice and bread with multiple curries, chutneys & pickles. As someone who enjoys to cook it would also not get too monotonous to make these dishes and would give my taste buds some variety! “
4. If you could automate one part of your job completely, what would it be?
Henry:
“Meeting summary notes & action points was a big one for me to automate, but now thanks to 365 Copilot and its AI summaries I no longer have to worry about that! It’s been a game changer for me, as someone with a high attention to detail it allows me to be more ‘present’ as I don’t have to even think about taking notes! Conversations flow better, it helps to facilitate deeper discussions alongside drastically reducing admin time afterwards and keeps me and the team accountable to any action points. I’ve been surprised by how much of an impact this has had efficiency, and my next step has been to leverage Copilot Agents. Alongside the summary notes; summaries are directly sent meeting participants / Teams channels, To-Do tasks are automatically created, assigned and with due dates!
Hypothetically automating my commute to and from work would be nice, but I think we might be a few years off that one! “
5. What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done, and would you do it again?
Henry:
“Packing up my life into a rucksack and moving to another continent, would I do it again? Absolutely! Although technology is helping to make the world feel smaller and more connected, it’s still vast – there’s so much I would like to explore and experience. That said, the pandemic has deepened my appreciation for what we have right here at home. Living in Leeds, we’re fortunate to have nature right on our doorstep, from the beauty of the Dales and the Peaks to the stunning East Coast. “
Thank you, Henry, for giving us a glimpse into your world! We’re lucky to have someone so passionate and skilled on the Everon team. Stay tuned for our next spotlight, where we’ll introduce you to another fantastic member of the Everon team!
